When conducting maintenance you need to be very careful if you are climbing up the tower. Do not perform on windy days or the rotating blades may hit you. With the manufacturers that offer the tiltable tower options you will want to simply tilt your windmill over so that you can perform maintenance from the ground and not up on a ladder.
